MCDOWELL COUNTY A wanted man in McDowell County for attempted murder was captured in Mingo County.
According to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Department, 28-year-old Cody Hager was arrested in connection to an incident in the Avondale area.
Hager faces charges in McDowell and Mingo counties. Charges include attempted murder, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, malicious wounding and four counts of wanton endangerment.
Hager is being held on $100,000 cash only bond for the charges in McDowell. The Mingo County charges have a $50,000 cash only bond.
Hager was jailed at the Southwestern Regional Jail early Sunday morning.
Gilbert Police, the Mingo County and Logan County Sheriff’s Departments and the West Virginia State Police assisted in the investigation.
