Wayne Co. Man Arrested After Trying To Hide Under Laundry

A Wayne County man was arrested on multiple warrants Wednesday night.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff, Rick Thompson, road patrol deputies searched a residence between Fort Gay and Crum and found Jordan Stamperd trying to hide under laundry. He faces seven felony charges and 11 misdemeanor charges for a total of 18 charges.

Some of Stamperd’s more serious charges include 1st degree robbery, kidnapping, domestic assault, battery and driving with a DUI.

No other details were released regarding the arrest as of press time.
