A Boone County man was sentenced Thursday and received two years in prison for attempted theft and property damage at a mining site in Boone and Lincoln counties.
A federal jury had found 46-year-old Brandon Beverly, of Whitesville, guilty for the stolen mine equipment.
The theft occurred in 2019 and the result was damages exceeding $5,000.
Beverly will also be under supervised release for three years.
