LOGAN The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children , better known as WIC, serves pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to the age of five.
WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons are available for participants to purchase fresh, unprepared, locally grown produce through November 30.
All active, certified WIC participants are eligible to receive West Virginia WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons this year in the following counties: Monroe, Mingo, Raleigh, Fayette, Logan, and Mercer.
WIC participants may pick coupons up now through September 30 during WIC clinic operating hours, with the exception of Logan County, which will distribute coupons this Thursday, September 29, at the Four Seasons Country Store located at 32 Main Ave. in Logan, from 9:30 to 11:30 AM and 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Coupons may be spent now through November 30 in any county as long as the farmer is authorized to accept them. A list of authorized farmers will be provided when picking up vouchers.
Moms, dads, grandparents, and foster parents raising a child under the age of five may apply to receive WIC benefits for that child.
