Wildcat golfers secure tri-match win at Little Creek

CHARLESTON Adex Martin shared medalist honors with two other golfers and Logan secured a tri-match victory over Nitro and Sherman Wednesday afternoon at the Little Creek Country Club.
Logan finished with a score of 183 with Sherman six shots back after a shooting a team score of 189 and Nitro finished the match with a 197.
Martin shared medalist honors with Nitro's Collin Crouch and Sherman's Avery Skeens after the trio each carded a 7-over-par 43.
Both Logan and Sherman place two golfers each in the top four with Kevin Farmer shooting a 9-over-par 45 to tie for fourth with Sherman's Brady Perdue.
In the nine-hole, four top scorers match, it was the play of the Wildcats Carter Frye and Alton Ellis that made the six-shot difference. Frye carded an 11-over-par 47 and Ellis' 12-over-par 48 that guided the Wildcats to the win besting Sherman's Jonaaron Seacrist's 13-over-par 49 and Kaicen Cummings' 16-over-par 52.
Also for Logan, Crew Blankenship fired a 15-over-par 51 and Evan Porter shot a 22-over-par 58.
Logan returns to the links on Monday joining Capital, Chapmanville and Sherman in a quad-match at the Logan Country Club.
