An additional 495 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Thursday by the Department of Health and Human Resources.
West Virginia has 6,499 active cases of coronavirus.
Seven West Virginians have died in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the outbreak, 2,683 people in the Mountain State have succumbed to coronavirus.
Today a total of 224 people are hospitalized with coronavirus in W.Va. Eighty one people are intensive care patients and 21 are on a vent.
To date, over half a million West Virginian’s have received their initial dose of vaccine.
