WV Mobile ID now available for download

The DMV’s new Mobile ID app lets you access your driver’s license or state ID digitally — even for TSA travel. Available now on the App Store, Google Play, and Samsung Wallet.

CHARLESTON The West Virginia DMV is making it easier to keep your ID handy — while continuing its mission to serve state motorists.

Residents can now download the West Virginia Mobile ID app, letting you carry a digital driver’s license or state ID right on your smartphone.

DMV Commissioner Everett Frazier says the app is “modern, convenient, and secure,” giving you access to your ID with just a tap. The Mobile ID can even be used at TSA checkpoints at participating airports nationwide, streamlining travel for West Virginians.

The Division of Motor Vehicles says this new tool supports its mission — to provide essential motor vehicle and driver services, promote highway safety, support interstate travel, and collect revenue for maintaining and improving West Virginia’s roads.

The app is available now on the Apple App Store, Google Play, and can also be added to Samsung Wallet. For more tools and information for motorists, visit the DMV website.
