CHARLESTON Families in West Virginia can save some money on school shopping during the state’s back-to-school sales tax holiday, happening August 1 through August 4.
For those four days, certain items will be tax-free, including clothing priced at $125 or less, school supplies up to $50 each, instructional materials up to $20, and sports equipment up to $150. Laptops and tablets costing $500 or less also qualify.
There’s no limit on how much you can spend overall, as long as each item falls under the price cap. Online, phone, and mail orders also count, as long as they’re made during the tax-free weekend.
