The Apple Butter Festival will return this fall.
The Town of Chapmanville will host the annual Apple Butter Festival the weekend of September, thirtieth through Saturday, October second.
The annual event was canceled last year, like so many other fairs and festivals, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The festival was approved earlier this month during a regular meeting of the Chapmanville Town Council. There was concern about the short window to plan before opening day. Mayor Joel McNeely said the festival may be scaled down this year as compared to other years but still advocated for its return.
