CHAPMANVILLE Chapmanville’s Apple Butter Festival is getting ready to open next week.
At a town meeting on September 9th, city officials solidified preparations following a meeting regarding events and beautification.
Town Clerk, Stacy Belle, spoke about the behind the scenes planning to put together the festival's final touches.
“I’ve been helping Sally with Apple Butter Festival details: contacting businesses, mailing, emailing, donation letters, information for the fireworks. All that’s been taken care of and
mailed to the fire marshal’s office,” Belle said. “Everything with the stage is ordered and set: trophies, medals, all that stuff for the contests.”
A daily schedule of events, list of vendors, entertainment, and food trucks has been released.
The festival will also feature a free cornhole tournament operated by the Women’s Club of Chapmanville. The tournament will be held on the last two days of the festival starting at 6PM. There is no entry fee.
The festival will be held Thursday, September 25th from 5PM-10PM; Friday, September 26th from 5PM-11PM; and Saturday, September 27th from 11AM-11PM.
