CHAPMANVILLE Zion Blevins posted his second consecutive double-double Tuesday night to lead Class AA No. 3 Chapmanville past Class AAA No. 4 Scott 68-48 at the Danny Godby Gymnasium.
Blevins finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks for Chapmanville (8-1), who has won three straight games and remained unbeaten against West Virginia competition.
Blevins was 15 of 26 from the field, including a pair of crowd-rising slam dunks, and has scored 20 points or more in four straight games.
Sal Dean added 14 points and Brody Dalton, who returned to the lineup after missing two games with an ankle injury, finished with 12 points for the Tigers.
Louden White scored 11 points while Kadin Clemons and Tyler Walls each had eight points for Scott (5-4). Jay Sharps added seven points.
Scott, who was playing without leading scorer Reece Carden, has lost three of its last four games after starting the season 4-1. The Skyhawks will be in action Friday night at Wayne.
Chapmanville will look for its fourth straight win Friday night when they host county rival and Class AAA No. 6 Logan.
