March Madness may carry over to this weekend, but Math Madness has concluded, and a Logan County grade school prevailed in the national ciphering competition.
Buffalo Elementary School claimed the Math Madness championship after vanquishing 7,500 other schools throughout the country.
The contest was conducted by an interactive program called Imagine Math utilized by over 1,200 students across the county.
Since Imagine Math was incorporated into the curriculum three years ago, school officials said overall math proficiency in Logan County has improved by eleven percent.
