Building Purchases May Mean Manufacturing Jobs In City Of Logan.

A new owner of a couple of downtown Logan buildings could mean new manufacturing jobs in the future.

According to the Logan Banner, its former office location on Stratton Street and the former printing press building on Charles Street have been purchased with intentions to renovate for manufacturing.

The new owner is Dongming Pan, a Chinese native and New York entrepreneur.

City of Logan Mayor Serafino Nolletti said plans include manufacturing t-shirts, pillows and possibly jeans and mattresses.

Pan and realtor Bo Ellis attended the September city council meeting to discuss the future plans.

According to the Banner, Ellis divulged the buildings were purchased for approximately $60,000. The buildings originally priced around $300,000
