Charity Poker Run Set For May 16

A charity poker run is scheduled for a 2-year-old boy who lost his foot in a lawnmower accident earlier this month.

Elias Johnson’s foot was severed when it slipped under a lawnmower in Lincoln County. He was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital where he underwent surgery for amputation.

The poker run, scheduled for May 16, will help cover medical expenses following Johnson’s surgery. The run will begin at The Alibi’s Front Room in Logan and end at the American Legion in Hamlin.

The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with signups taking place beforehand, according to an event flyer. The cost of entry will be a $10 donation per person with all money going to the Johnson family.
