West Virginia’s graduation rate has improved.
According to numbers from the West Virginia Department of Education, the rate was 92.07% for the 2019-20 school year.
That is up from 91.40% for the 2018-19 school year.
In a county breakdown of those graduation rates, Boone County had a graduation rate of 91.76%; Lincoln County 92.42%; Logan County 87.89%; Mingo County 94.19%; McDowell County 82.46%; Wayne County 84.96% and Wyoming County 93.82%.
The WVDE says 32 counties have rates higher than the state rate.
