A Wayne County car chase led to the arrest of a convicted felon Monday.
Christopher Mills led Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies on a car chase at first and then took off running into the woods.
According to police reports, Mills hit a Ceredo Police vehicle during the chase.
Mills was apprehended in the woods in the Hubbard Branch Area.
A search of his vehicle yielded distribution quantities of crystal methamphetamine and heroin as well as marijuana, ecstasy, Suboxone, Gabapentin, digital scales, packaging materials, and nearly $11,000 cash.

The combination of a vehicle pursuit, attempted escape, and the quantity of drugs and cash reportedly recovered makes this a significant arrest.
