Coronavirus Continues to Climb in the Mountain State


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,141 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 21,260 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 1039 West Virginians have succumbed to the COVID-19. Twenty-seven people died in the last 24 hours.


West Virginia has 66,849 cumulative cases of the virus.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 10.27%.


Boone, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne and Wyoming counties remain in the orange category.


Logan County is gold.


McDowell County is Green.


Statewide, there are 17 counties in the most restrictive red zone.
