COVID Numbers for Logan, Mingo, Boone

The Logan County Health Department confirmed 44 new cases COVID-19 have been confirmed since Friday.

According to Health Department Director Steve Browning, as of 2 p.m. Monday, 44 new cases of the virus have been confirmed.

Logan County has 204 active cases of coronavirus, 180 recoveries, and 11 fatalities for a cumulative total of 395 cases.

Twenty-three people are hospitalized.

Four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Mingo County for Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16, 2020.

The update comes after more than 32 hours without any new confirmed positive cases. That brings the total case count for August in Mingo County up to 58 laboratory confirmed cases. For July the total was 130 laboratory confirmed cases and for June it was 17 confirmed cases.

The most recent cases for the coronavirus are:

  • 54-year-old male unknown symptoms Case #202

  • 68-year-old male unknown symptoms Case #203

  • 26-year-old female unknown symptoms Case #204

  • 71-year-old male with symptoms Case #205

As of 9 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020, Mingo County has tested 3,340 people with 207 total coronavirus cases, of which 205 are laboratory tested positive cases and 2 probable cases. So far, 138 people have recovered, 64 cases are active, and there have been 5 COVID-19 related deaths.

The Boone County Health Department confirmed 5 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.

Four cases are contacts of previously diagnosed cases. One case is from a workplace. That makes a total of 126 cases in the county.
