Chapmanville Regional High School will be closed Friday, October 2 due to a student testing positive for COVID-19.
According to a statement from Logan County Schools website, the school was closed to in-person instruction Friday due to an inability to conduct contact tracing Thursday night.
Students will transition to remote learning for the school day Friday.
In-Person learning is currently slated to resume Monday, October 5.
The student’s contraction of the virus is the eighth case in Logan County Schools this week since the blended learning model commenced Monday.
Seven employees have tested positive.
