DUI Checkpoint Set for Thursday Evening in Logan


The West Virginia State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint Thursday, November 5 at Deskins’ Addition.


The checkpoint will take place between 6 o’clock Thursday evening and midnight.


According to a press release from the Logan detachment, the checkpoint’s primary purpose is to educate the public on the effects of driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or both.

Moreover, the checkpoint is to act as a deterrent for impaired driving.


Drivers will be checked for all driving infractions.


The checkpoint is funded through the Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
