Early Voting Set to Begin Oct. 21

Early voting in the Logan County General Election will begin in just under a month on Wednesday, October 21.

Traditionally, early voting is conducted in the county clerk’s office of the Logan County Courthouse. Logan County Clerk John Turner told WVOW News the early voting location will be the County Commission office building to keep voters apart from one another due to the virus.

Early Voting hours will be weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. The last day for early voting will be on Halloween between 9am and 5pm.

West Virginia voters are permitted to vote absentee due to the virus. As of this reporting, the Logan County Clerk’s office has mailed out 672 absentee ballots.

Absentee Ballot applications must be received by Wednesday, October 28.

In person voting in county precincts is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3.
