The rain didn’t deter anyone from enjoying the fifth annual WV Fire and Ice event Friday night at the Logan County Airport
The event was presented by the Logan Chamber of Commerce and featured craft beer and wine tasting and live music from the Santa Cruz band.
The chili cook-off was competitive but there could only be one winner. The winner for best chili was Logan County Magistrate Joe Mendez
“There were a lot of great chili there,” Mendez said. “We’re just happy everyone liked our chili.”
Mendez won best chili and the people’s choice award for his Chili Gilley’s Chicken Chorizo Chili.
