Former Cop & Firefighter Charged For Crimes Under The Color Of Law



A former police officer and firefighter has been indicted for allegedly committing crimes under the color of law.


25-year-old Christopher Osborne, of Uneeda in Boone County, is accused of sexual assault on a teenage girl and setting woman’s home on fire. Moreover, Osborne was indicted for witness tampering.


According to criminal complaints filed in Boone County Magistrate Court, Osborne sexually assaulted the girl on January nineteenth at the Danville Volunteer Fire Department. The federal indictment charges Osborne with aggravated sexual abuse, attempted aggravated sexual abuse, kidnapping and attempted kidnapping.


Osborne was also indicted for allegedly setting fire to the home of a 49-year-old woman in 2019.


Osborne could face up to life in prison if he’s convicted on the charges.
