Four Counties Surrounding Logan are Red Today, Logan is Yellow


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,131 new cases of coronavirus.


As of 10 o’clock Monday morning, West Virginia has 19,691 active cases of coronavirus.


Since the onset of the outbreak, 841 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. Three people died in the last 24 hours.


West Virginia has 56,128 cumulative cases of the virus.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 7.24%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, four coalfield counties are in the restrictive red category. Boone, Mingo, Wyoming and Wayne counties are red. There are 14 total counties statewide in the red.


Lincoln and McDowell counties are gold.


Logan County is yellow.
