HILLBILLIES ARE GOING TO STATE CLASS A TOURNEY


On Tuesday the Man Hillbillies secured their spot in the Class A State Baseball tournament with a 5-1 victory over the Wahama Falcons.


The win goes to Casey Hurley who pitched 5 innings, allowed four hits and delivered eight strike outs.


The Billies hitting was topped off by Caleb Vance with two hits on three visits to the batter’s box.


Charleston Catholic also advanced on to the class A state tourney with a victory over James Monroe 15-5 Tuesday.


In Region II, Moorefield defeated South Harrison 3-1. Wednesday night’s game is the last chance for Harrison.


Wheeling Central defeated Williamstown on the road Tuesday night 8-5. That series is tied at 1-1 and tonight game will decide which team moves on.
