Human remains found earlier this week in eastern Kentucky have been classified as historical and not part of a crime scene.
The remains were found in the Tomahawk area of Martin County, KY.
The Kentucky Medical Examiner’s office and an archaeologist from the Kentucky Heritage Council classified the remains as historical.
The remains were returned to their original site.
The landowner asks the public not to trespass on the site and to respect the resting place of the remains.
