A red tail hawk was rescued in Boone County Saturday.
According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s department, Boone County Deputies were flagged down for assistance in the Madison area.
The deputies discovered an adult, red tail hawk on the side of the road had been injured.
The hawk was taken to the Madison Animal Hospital to be treated.
