CHAPMANVILLE A 12-2 second quarter run broke open a close game as Class AA No. 7 Chapmanville ran away from Scott, defeating the Lady Skyhawks 68-48 on Senior Night Thursday night at the Danny Godby Gymnasium.
Leading 23-16 in the second quarter, the Lady Tigers closed the quarter on a 12-2 run and led 35-18 at halftime.
Chapmanville outscored Scott 21-13 in the third and led by 25 after three quarters.
Alaira Evans led the Lady Tigers with 28 points and Jaiden Mahon scored 15 points.
Kelsey Harper led Scott with 19 points and Haven Tomblin finished with 14 points.
Chapmanville improved to 12-7 while Scott drops to 7-12.
