Lady Wildcats hold off Lady Skyhawks

MADISON   Addyson Amick scored 30 points and was 15 of 16 from the foul line and Logan withstood a second half charge from Scott to pick up a 65-56 road win over the Lady Skyhawks Monday night.

 

Scott trailed 34-22 at halftime and outscored Logan 18-8 in the third quarter to pull within two points heading to the fourth quarter.

 

The Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Skyhawks, 23-16, in the fourth quarter despite making just two field goals. Logan was 18 for 24 from the free throw line and improved to 7-6 with the win.

 

Logan made 28 of its 43 free throw attempts while Scott was 15 of 25 from the charity stripe. Each team made 15 field goals, but Scott made 11 3-pointers to Logan’s 7 triples.

 

Halle Crouse had 13 points, Ava Albright eight and Bam Mosby and Michel’A Swan each had six for Logan.

 

Kelsey Harper led Scott with 25 points, Haven Tomblin had 21 and Rikki Beth Bailey nine for the Scott, who fell to 5-8 with the loss.
