Lady Wildcats shut out Lady Pirates

LOGAN Harlee Quick tossed a complete game shutout scattering 11 hits as Logan defeated Belfry 4-0 Monday evening at Bea Orr Field.


Quick struck out seven, walked one and hit one in seven innings of work in the circle for Logan to pick up her first win of the season.


Addison Brumfield and Isabella Propst each had two hits for Logan with Prospt driving in the only run of the evening for the Lady Wildcats.


Taylor Noe tripled and Lacy Curry and Emilee Mullins each had a single for Logan.

Logan struck first with a run in the first inning. Noe led off with a triple and scored on Propst’s ground out scoring the first run of the evening.


The Lady Wildcats scored two runs in the second inning. Emma Elkins scored when the Logan executed a double steal as Brumfield stole second drawing a throw from the catcher allowing Elkins to steal home giving Logan a 2-0 lead.


Brumfield scored on a wild pitch to increase the Lady Wildcats advantage to 3-0 after two innings.


Logan tacked on one final run in the third when Hannah Maynard stole home to give the Lady Wildcats a 4-0 lead after three innings.


Molly Fahm suffered the loss for Belfry after allowing four runs on seven hits in six innings in the circle. Fahm struck out two, walked three and hit two.


Linzee Phillips and Brianna Tello each had three hits for the Lady Pirates. Zoey Caudill had two hits and Myra Bevins, Fahm and Sydney Stafford each had one hit.
