MYRTLE BEACH, SC   Isabella Propst collected three hits, including a double, as Class AA co-No. 1 Logan wiped out an early deficit to defeat Breckinridge County (KY) 7-1 in the Grand Strand Softball Classic Thursday morning at North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex.

The Lady Wildcats fell behind by a run early when Zoe Lewis tripled and scored on a passed ball to give the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead.

Held scoreless through three innings, Logan’s bats came alive scoring four runs in the fourth and adding three insurance runs in the sixth to win its 10th straight game and improve to 11-2 on the season.

Harlee Quick scored on Kaylie Coleman’s sacrifice fly to tie it at 1, and Propst delivered a two out double to put Logan ahead 2-1. Propst’s double proved to be the game winner as the Lady Wildcats never trailed the rest of the way.

Lauren Adkins capped the fourth inning scoring with a two-run double to give Logan a 4-1 lead, which was more than enough for starting pitcher Myleigh Adkins.

Adkins held Breckinridge County to two hits and struck out 14 and walked only one in seven innings in the circle to earn the win for Logan.

Lacy Curry, Emilee Mullins and Taylor Noe each had two runs with Noe driving in one run for Logan.

In the Lady Wildcats sixth inning, Noe singled to left field to give Logan a 5-1 lead and Propst scored to make it 6-1 when Noe’s single was misplayed in left field. Later in the inning, Noe stole home with two outs to give Logan a 7-1 lead.

Ashlyn White was the losing pitcher for Breckinridge County after allowing four runs on nine hits in four innings. She struck out three and walked two.

Lewis tripled and scored for the Lady Tigers, who also got a hit from Olivia Dennis.
