The Logan County Health Department confirmed one death associated with COVID-19 Wednesday.
Health Department Director Steve Browning said a 67-year-old female has succumbed to the virus. Thirty-one people in the county have died since the onset of the outbreak.
As of 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, 14 new cases of the virus have been confirmed.
Tuesday testing event in Chapmanville generated a final total of 83 samples for laboratory testing.
Logan County has 136 active cases of the virus, 349 recoveries, and 31 fatalities for a cumulative total of 516 cases of coronavirus.
Thirty people are hospitalized.

The Boone County Health Department confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.
One case is a contact of another positive case and the other case is community acquired. Both cases are at home and in quarantine.
Boone County’s cumulative total of cases is 146, with 17 active cases and 129 recovered cases.
Two people are currently hospitalized.
