The Logan County Health Department issued a second report concerning cases of COVID-19 since Wednesday evening.
Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed 12 cases of coronavirus last night. Three more cases were confirmed through laboratory testing today.
A total of 59 cases were reported Tuesday. Browning said most of the cases were not new, and the spike in cases was a result of an unidentified facility’s delay in reporting from early January. The reason for the delay has yet to be disclosed.
Fifty-eight recoveries have been reported since this week.
Logan County has 218 active cases, 2,354 recoveries and 67 fatalities for a cumulative total of 2,639 cases of COVID-19.
Twenty-eight people remain hospitalized.
