The Logan County Health Department reported one death and new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday afternoon.
Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed the death of a 78-year-old female due to complications from the coronavirus.
Nineteen cases of the virus were reported Tuesday evening. Four cases were reported Wednesday for a total of 23 additional cases since Friday.
Thirty-seven recoveries have been reported this week.
Logan County has 207 active cases, 2,398 recoveries and 68 fatalities for a cumulative total of 2,673 cases of COVID-19.
Twenty-seven people remain hospitalized.
