The Logan County Health Department reported two deaths and eight cases of COVID-19 Friday afternoon.
Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed the deaths of 71 and 87-year-old males due to complications from the coronavirus. Seventy-two Logan residents have passed since the onset of the outbreak.
Eight new cases of the virus were reported Friday for a total of 43 cases since a week ago.
Seventy-seven recoveries have been reported this week.
Logan County has 183 active cases, 2,438 recoveries and 72 fatalities for a cumulative total of 2,695 cases of COVID-19.
Twenty-four people remain hospitalized.
