Logan County Confirmed 8 Cases of COVID-19


The Logan County Health Department confirmed eight cases of COVID-19 Thursday.


As of 2 o’clock this afternoon, Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed 8 new cases of the virus.


A total of 99 tests for coronavirus were administered during the free testing event Wednesday at the former 84 Lumber location at Peach Creek. Testing continues at that location on Wednesday, October 7 between 10 am and 2pm.


Currently, there is only one church outbreak in Logan County. According the Browning, the church must have at least 3 positives to be classified as an outbreak. Contact tracing is still ongoing.


Logan County has 75 active cases of the virus, 525 recoveries, and 42 fatalities for a cumulative total of 642 cases of coronavirus.


Eighteen people remain hospitalized.
