Logan County records 88th COVID-19 death

The Logan County Health Department confirmed another death due to COVID-19 Friday.


Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed a 77-year-old male died due to complications from the coronavirus. Since the onset of the outbreak, 88 Logan Countians have succumbed to COVID-19.


Ten new infections of the virus were confirmed through laboratory testing as of Friday evening. The health department confirmed a total of 42 cases of the virus in the last week of April.


Six recoveries were reported Friday and a total of seventeen recoveries were reported over the last week.


Logan County has 59 active cases, 2,955 recoveries and 88 fatalities for a cumulative total of 3,102 cases of COVID-19.


Five people remain hospitalized.
