The Logan County Health Department issued an update on the latest surge of COVID-19 in the county Wednesday.
Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed 49 additional cases of the virus were discovered through laboratory testing Wednesday.
Since New Year’s Eve, 204 new infections of coronavirus have been reported.
The death of a 78-year-old female attributed to coronavirus Monday brings the county’s death toll to 147 fatalities.
Logan County currently has 230 active cases of COVID-19
Seventeen people remain hospitalized.
