LOGAN The Logan High School tennis teams are gearing up for the regional tournament, set to begin this Saturday at the LHS tennis courts. The tournament will continue on Monday and Tuesday, with matches starting at 9 a.m. each day. In the event of rain, the tournament will be moved indoors to the local rec center.

The boys team wrapped up its regular season with strong performances in both singles and doubles. The duo of Caleb Burgess and Ethan Dingess posted a 10-5 record in doubles play. In singles, Burgess led the way with an 11-6 record, while Dingess finished an even 7-7.

On the girls’ side, Logan has emerged as a powerhouse in Class AA/A. The team completed an impressive 18-2 regular season, highlighted by key victories over Charleston Catholic and defending state champions Chapmanville. The Lady Wildcats are currently ranked No. 1 in Class AA/A.

Logan’s only losses came against top-tier AAA competition — No. 1 ranked Huntington and No. 2 Cabell Midland.

With regional play on the horizon, both teams look to carry their momentum into the postseason.
