
The Annual Veterans Day Program presented by the Kiwanis Club of Logan is set for next week.
Kiwanis will conduct a parade on Veterans Day a week from today beginning at 10 a.m. The parade will include the Logan High School Band and is open for anyone to join. Participants may walk, ride, march or spectate the parade as it circles downtown Logan.
At the 11 a.m. on Veterans Day a program dedicated to veterans will be conducted on the island in front of Logan Middle School. A free lunch will follow inside the middle school.
Veterans Day originated with the end of World War I. An armistice went into effect between Germany and the Allied nations on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The day was recognized as the end of “the war to end all wars.”
