Logan Yellow, Mingo Still Red According to WV DHHR Map


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 885 new cases of COVID-19.


As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 7,771 active cases of coronavirus.

Since the onset of the outbreak, 553 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Seven deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 5.90%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Mingo County is the only county in the “red” category.


Lincoln and Wyoming counties are orange.


Boone and Wayne counties are gold.


Logan and McDowell counties are yellow.


West Virginia has 30,201 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
