Mingo County Now in "Orange" on DHHR Metrics Map


Mingo County moved into the “orange” category on the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources metrics map, Friday.


Mingo reports a total of 249 cases of coronavirus since the outbreak began. Ten new case were confirmed Friday.


The county currently has 69 active cases, 175 recoveries and five fatalities.


Logan and Monroe counties remain in the “orange” category with number impacted by nursing home staff member with the virus. Twenty counties are now in “yellow” and 31 counties are designated safe with “green” status.


Numbers reported in Logan County nursing homes by the DHHR include the Logan Center with one active case. Trinity Health Care of Logan has 87 residents and 55 staff for a total of 142 cases of coronavirus. Trinity has reported 8 deaths associated with the virus.


As of 10 o’clock Friday morning, the state DHHR reported 9,824 cumulative case and 202 deaths in the Mountain State.


Today’s positive infection is 3.14%


The DHHR will update the dashboards statistics again at 5pm today.
