Mingo County Sheriff seeking tips in horse shooting

The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for assistance finding those responsible for shooting and killing a horse.


The sheriff’s deputies say a Shetland pony was shot in the neck Monday evening in the Triad area.


Reportedly, the pony was found alive. Several people rendered aid and attempted to get the horse to a veterinarian, but ultimately the pony died.
