Mingo Is Once Again the Only Red County in W.Va.


The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 511 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.


As of 10 o’clock Monday morning, West Virginia has 7,271 active cases of coronavirus.

Since the onset of the outbreak, 546 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Seven deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.


Today’s daily positive infection rate is 4.86%.


According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, Mingo County is again the only county in the “red” category.


Lincoln and Wyoming counties are orange.


Boone County is gold.


Wayne County yellow.


Logan and McDowell counties are green.


West Virginia has 29,316 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
