LOGAN   Bam Mosby scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the first half and Logan pulled away from county rival Chapmanville 47-33 in the King Coal Classic Saturday night at the Willie Akers Arena.

Jenna Hatfield added 10 points off the bench and Addyson Amick had eight points for the Lady Wildcats (5-1), who improved to 3-0 at home.

Mosby, who scored 13 of her 19 points in the first half, scored nine second quarter points to fuel a 13-0 Lady Wildcat run. Mosby gave Logan it's first lead with an old fashioned 3-point play to put the Lady Wildcats on top 15-14 with 6:24 left before halftime.

Chapmanville scored eight of the game's first 10 points and led Logan 8-2 following Brooke Christian's free throw with 4:08 to play in the opening quarter.

Logan struggled to make shots in the opening quarter, but Hatfield scored five of her 10 points in the first to bring Logan within two, 11-9, after one quarter of play.

Hatfield came off the bench for second leading scorer Halle Crouse, who was whistled for two personal fouls and one technical foul with 5:34 to play in the first. Crouse set for the remainder of the first half and finished with five points, all coming in the fourth quarter.

Daizi Farley broke a 11-11 tie with a 3-pointer to give Chapmanville a 14-11 lead with 7:23 to play in the second quarter. It would be the last lead for the Lady Tigers, who were held without a point for the next 6:21 before Christian ended that drought with a free throw.

To make matters worse, the Lady Tigers comeback efforts were hindered by a two-point third quarter that saw Logan stretch an eight-point halftime advantage to 15 points, 36-21.

Haley Fleming led Chapmanville (4-2) with 10 points. Farley added nine and Christian had eight.

Chapmanville will take part in the Daytona Beach Sunshine Classic December 27-30. The Lady Tigers will open tournament play against Delsea Regional (NJ) at 1:30 p.m. December 27.

Logan (5-1) will travel to Class AA No. 3 Williamstown on December 28.
