MAN Town of Man recognizes Mrs. West Virginia America.

The title went to Man native Summer Hill. She was recently inducted into the Man High School Atheltic Hall of Fame for her time in softball. She was honored and recognized in her hometown once again during the most recent meeting of the Man Town Council.

"It's amazing as we watch someone grow up, we have such great expectations of what they can be, and sometimes you just don't realize how amazing they can be until they exceed every possible expectation,” Mayor Fekete said from the council dais.

“That's the best way to describe Summer,” Fekete continued, “someone who exceeded every expectation. She succeeded in her education by becoming a physical therapist. She succeeded in life by becoming an amazing mother and wife. She succeeded in our state by being crowned the 2024 Mrs. West Virginia. We're all so very proud to have such an amazing woman representing not only West Virginia, but our small community of Man. We wish her the best of luck and hope that, one more time, she exceeds all expectation and wins the Mrs. America Pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada."

Summer completed her Biology Degree at West Virginia State University before obtaining a doctorate from the Marshall School of Physical Therapy. According to the Mrs. West Virginia America website, Summer plans to spend her year with the title acting as a role model and educator for children across the state dealing with “adverse childhood experiences.”

“I’m excited for Mrs. America,” Summer told council members. “I would not be the woman I am today without this small town of Man, West Virginia.”

Summer and her husband Zach are building a home in the Alum Creek area. The have two sons, Ross and Leo.
