The final drug take back day in Logan is set for tomorrow at the Fountain Place Mall. The event will be conducted between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Residents can discard old or unused medication free of charge during the drug take back events locally. Prescriptions should never be flushed to avoid the drugs absorbing into the water table.
Tomorrow is also National Drug Take Back day. According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, approximately 300 pounds of discarded medications were collected last April during take back events. Nationally, 420 tons of unused drugs were collected from over five thousand locations
