The Boone County Health Department confirmed one new case of COVID-19 Wednesday.
The new case is a contact of an already known case. The patient is home in quarantine.
The total number of cases for the county is 268. Of these, 48 people remain active, 218 people are recovered and there have been 2 deaths.
There will be a FREE COMMUNITY TESTING EVENT today FROM 12-6 p.m. AT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT. There will be a drive through flu clinic at the same time.
