The Mingo County Health Department reported its 9th death related to COVID-19 on Tuesday.
That is the third death in the county for the month of September.
The most recent victim was an 89-year-old female who passed away while hospitalized at ARH in South Williamson.
As of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Mingo County had a cumulative total of 359 positive cases of coronavirus. That number includes 145 active cases, 205 recoveries, and 9 deaths.
The Boone County Health Department confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. The two cases appear to be community acquired. Both patients are home and in quarantine.
At this time, Boone County has 187 total cases of COVID-19 with 29 active cases, 157 recovered and one death.
Two patients are currently hospitalized.
