The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 726 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 10 o’clock Monday morning, West Virginia has 24,273 active cases of coronavirus.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,263 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. Nine people died in the last 24 hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 16.39%.
According to the color-coded map released this morning by the WV DHHR, all but 3 counties are either in the orange or red categories.
Boone, Logan, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne, Wyoming and 32 other counties are all in the red zone.
McDowell County is one of 13 orange counties.
West Virginia has received 60,875 doses of vaccine. As of press time, 30,737 doses have been administered.
